All Occasion Cake Cutting Guide:
For 8 inch and larger cakes, cut 2″ into cake every 1.5″ around the circumference of the cake. Serve those slices and work your way towards the center of the cake. Cut centers accordingly (10 servings for 6″ or 4 servings for 4″).
For 1/4 sheet cakes we recommend cutting 6 slices along the short side and 8 slices along the long side. For 1/2 sheet cakes we recommend cutting 12 slices along the short side and 8 slices along the long side. For 8 inch square cakes we recommend cutting 8 slices along one side and 4 slices along the other side.
