Choose from our light signature frosting and rich buttercream combinations
We’re proud to be known for our light, whipped signature frosting — and we use only buttercream frosting for all of our 3D cake designs and decorations. We promise that every mouthful will be delicious, and you’ll never have to choose between a detailed fondant finish or a homemade buttercream frosting that’s actually worth eating.
Craig’s Cake Shop’s Signature Frosting
Our signature frosting has set us apart in southern Wisconsin for years. We’ve combined a light whipped frosting with white chocolate shavings to give our cakes an original textured look while carefully balancing light and sweet tastes.
We are not able to add any inscriptions to our signature frosting, but we can place a buttercream rose bouquet or a few additional 3D decorations on the top for a small charge. Get in touch with us to discuss your options!
Frame-In Message with Signature Frosting
Our frame-in option is a great choice when you’re looking for as much signature frosting as possible on your custom cake, but you still want a message on top. We can add additional decorations, but keep in mind that space is limited to maximize your signature frosting experience.
Frame-in frosting is available on cakes 8″ and larger.
All Buttercream Frosting
We make every batch of our rich, filling buttercream frosting in house. This option allows for a classic smooth finish, a rustic textured design, or a range of fun 3D creations — all with no fondant that leaves behind a bad taste.

Buttercream Top with Signature Frosting Sides
Our buttercream top option is perfect when you want a message or other decorations on top of your cake but still crave the whipped taste of our signature frosting on the sides. It’s sure to satisfy guests with a major sweet tooth and those who prefer something a little lighter — the perfect middle ground.
You can choose from simple decorations like an inscription with buttercream balloons, buttercream roses or polka dots, or completely custom artwork on the top of your cake.

Craig’s Cake Shop allergen information
Dairy, soy, peanuts, eggs, gluten, and coconut oil are some of the known allergens used in our Verona, Wisconsin cake shop. Common kitchen equipment and utensils are used in all cake assembly and decorating.
Some decorations including, but not limited to, sugar crystals and jimmies/sprinkles are prepared and packaged using machines that may come into contact with wheat, gluten, eggs, dairy, peanuts, soy, or tree nuts.
